He Had by the Spirit

Slow-motion incense smoke.

Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat; and the plans for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of the Lord, of all the chambers all around, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries for the dedicated things; also for the division of the priests and the Levites, for all the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and for all the articles of service in the house of the Lord.

(1 Chronicles 28:11-13) NKJV

Now we’re going to bring all of our ideas together and propose a mechanism for the action of spiritual entities. In the passage above King David had by the spirit the plans for building of the temple.

The Mind of the Spirit

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

(Romans 8:26-27) NKJV

Let’s look at the context of the passage. Likewise the Spirit. Spirit is capitalized which means it’s specifically referring to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the comforter which helps us in our weakness.

Spirits and Gravity

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

(Romans 8:5) NKJV

We previously developed the rationale that spiritual messengers, referred to sometimes as angels, are a combination of spirit (vapor) and soul (gravity). This was described in the post Holograms, Relativity and the Soul.

O Lord, Try my Kidneys

But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

(Jeremiah 11:20) KJV

The heart is the seat of our drive and motivation which accomplishes it’s purpose by pumping blood around our body. The blood is subject to the influence of chemical compounds, spirits, that can be absorbed in a variety of ways.

Prepare Your Heart

I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

(Jeremiah 17:10) NKJV

Preparing our hearts doesn’t involve special diets or exercise, it comes down to taking two simple steps: believing in Jesus Christ, and confessing our sins. The sanctification we receive from faith in Jesus makes us a holy vessel in which the Holy Spirit takes up residence. We’re indwelt by the Spirit of God.

Out of the Heart

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

(Matthew 15:19) NKJV

Jesus was asked why he didn’t stop his disciples from eating before they had washed their hands. He was very direct in pointing out that we’re not defiled by what we put into our mouths, even if our hands are dirty. We’re defiled by what comes out of our mouths, and that starts in the corruption of our heart.

Spiritual Possession

And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

(Luke 7:21) NKJV

We can be possessed by evil spirits. We’ve deduced that spirits are vapor, so it’s simply a matter of breathing it in.

  • If a spirit is a vapor which, when inhaled, can affect our personality,
    • and there are evil spirits,
  • then an evil spirit can enter our body and affect our heart.

Into the Heart

And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.

(John 13:2-4) NKJV

The soul is one aspect of life. The Spirit is another.

The Spirit is a vapor, for example Oxygen, which binds with the hemoglobin molecule in red blood cells to animate a body through metabolic processes. The spirit/body entity serves as the host or tabernacle for a soul.

The Physics of Christianity

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

(Romans 8:1-8) NKJV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) found a statement of the role of gravity in the plan of redemption and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans chapter 8 resolves as Newton’s second law of motion (F=MA).

Free From the Law of Sin and Death

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) find a clear statement of the mode of action of gravity, as it pertains to the plan of redemption and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, in Romans chapter 8.
