The Physics of Christianity

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

(Romans 8:1-8) NKJV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) found a statement of the role of gravity in the plan of redemption and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans chapter 8 resolves as Newton’s second law of motion (F=MA).

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

(Romans 8:9-11) NKJV

We can tabulate the ways in which the concepts in our theory of gravity have been expressed, in words or phrases, and build the theoretical basis of the Physics of Christianity from our terminology. This is possible because we were meticulous to establish accurate definitions for all of our concepts.

We’ve said before that Matty’s paradigm is the Physics of Christianity. We weren’t kidding. Far from being a metaphorical or poetic rendering of the spiritual transformation of salvation, this is a clear statement of how gravity is the mechanism of the plan of redemption.

The Apostle Paul explains the connection between being spiritual and alive vs. being carnal and dead. We’re condemned under the law, that’s why we need a savior. If gravity is the means by which all of the sin and corruption in creation will be gathered up for disposal, then it’s an impartial judge between light and darkness, good and evil. Gravity is the condemnation. While gravity is the power to condemns us, it has no power to forgive us or set us free, we’re bound by it. We can’t escape from it by the power that’s in us.

Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ, and that will never change. The only difference is that now we have a theory of gravitation which ties the plan of redemption to a physical process. Believing in Jesus Christ is the spiritual transformation that you need. Gravity is the physical mode of action underlying it.

The difference between being dead, before salvation, and being alive, after salvation, has application in the life of we Christians, and it helps us to understand how we should walk (conduct ourselves) in a way that enhances and deepens our fellowship with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We’ll apply the terminology of our theory of gravity to Romans 8:1-8. We paraphrase the text by inserting the symbols from our theory in place of the words or phrases which have been used to express the same concepts.

A paraphrase is a restatement of a text, passage, or work giving the meaning in another form as for clearness; rewording.

– Paraphrase, definition (Dictionary)

The reason for creation is the manifestation of sentient life with free will.

Paraphrase the Bible into Physics

There’s therefore now no condemnation to them which are [q], who walk not after [pG], but after [A]. For [q] has made me free from [M]. For what [M] couldn’t do, in that it was weak through [pG], [A] sending [q] in the likeness of [pG], and for [M], condemned [M] in [pG]: That the [q] might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after [pG], but after [A]. For they that are after [pG] do mind the things of [pG]; but they that are after [A] the things of [A]. For to be [pG] minded is death; but to be [A] minded is life and peace. Because the [pG] mind is enmity against [A]: for it’s not subject to [M], neither indeed can be. So then they that are [pG] can’t please [A].

(Romans 8:1-8) Paraphrased

The purpose of creation is to bring about the permanent physical separation of light from darkness, day from night, good from evil.

Newton’s Second Law of Motion

Believing in Jesus Christ [q] is the power to overcome [M]. By a totally staggering coincidence this just happens to be Newton’s second law of motion, often stated as F=MA, which describes that the mass of an object determines the amount of force necessary to move it.

The Gospel is Physics (logic)

  • IF being dead in sins (pG) is when we’re under the power of the law (M),
    • AND we receive the forgiveness of sin (A),
      • when we’re quickened (q) through faith in Jesus Christ,
  • THEN pGxq=A. (F=MA)

  1. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
    • believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
  2. confess your sin.
