And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

I think we have well established that the earth was created with Eden as a plateau at the top of a system of four mountain chains. These carried four rivers of water over the surface of the whole earth. In this system water welled up at Eden, flowed across the surface of the earth, and then returned to the Great Deep.
From here it circulated through the earth and upwelled again at Eden. We are now learning that the temple in Jerusalem will be established at the top of a mountain that fills the whole earth. Water will issue forth from the temple east and west and water the whole earth. This water is so pure that it will begin to heal the oceans that have been devastated with pollution both from the current time of human society and by the sheer amount of physical material that is going to fall out of the heavens during the tribulation.
Which brings me to today’s thought experiment. Based on volume calculations of the amount of physical material that makes up the earth, and considering data from measuring seismic wave propagation, it is possible to estimate that the earth as it was created had a radius of about 7,800 Km. The current radius of the earth is 6,371 Km. This is a large decrease in the diameter, and circumference of the earth. The process by which this change has happened is related to the expansion of hell. In the time of Peleg, hell had expanded so much that it completely melted the foundations of the earth, on which the pillars of the earth were resting. This is what caused the crust and mantle to collapse inward, causing the circumferential shortening necessary to account for tectonic plate formation.
With the earth at its current size the expansion of hell can only make the conditions at the surface hotter. Is it possible that the earthquakes and terrors described to happen during the tribulation could be taking place as the radius of the earth is expanded again, in order to provide a comfortable environment for the Millennial Kingdom? We have just seen that there will be great hail out of heaven, every stone weighing the weight of a talent. This event correlates with the blowing of trumpets in heaven, the pouring out of vials upon the earth, which happen to correlate with the stars falling like rain. If the hail and the stars falling are indeed the same thing, and there are “billions and billions of stars,” we can calculate the amount of additional material that may be added to the earth at this time. Just for sake of having a number let’s use a billion, billion stars. If a talent is approximately 50 Kg, that will give us a weight of added material of 5E+19 Kg.
The mass of the earth is thought to be 5.972E+24 Kg. It should be noted, however, that this number is dependent of the current understanding of the nature of gravity, which, it just so happens, I reject.
We must consider the possibility that the plagues of the tribulation are describing the construction of an entirely new surface for the earth.
