All Flesh Shall See

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

(Isaiah 40:4-5) KJV

If we use induction where the premise is our desire (that there’s no creator God) then interpret evidence according to the desire that our premise is true we end up with “popular science” (SciPop).

All flesh shall see isn’t a prophecy about the advent of satellite TV. It prophecies a time when everyone on Earth will have an unobstructed view of Jerusalem because the continents are a contiguous landmass and the entire landscape is a gently sloping incline up to the summit of a mountain which fills the whole Earth.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

(Isaiah 2:2-3) NKJV

The image today is one of our favorite places: Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. Being there gives you an idea of what it may be like when the time comes that we live in the Lord’s Millennial Kingdom, where we will be able to look out over the whole world that spreads out beneath us.

All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses. And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

(Zechariah 14:10-11) KJV

The truth about our creator God is self-evident. However, we’ve been given free will and there’s a freely available alternative to the truth about God. It’s called popular science (SciPop): the scientific narrative of godless existence. In it we are brute beasts who inhabit an insignificant speck which orbits another insignificant speck which is drifting through an infinite cosmos.

SciPop is theoretical. That means you have to imagine that it’s true. There’s going to come a time when the truth about God will no longer be one of several competing theories. It will be empirical. The truth about God will be as the waters of the sea.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.

(Isaiah 11:9) NKJV

We won’t be watching it on television. It will be in plain sight. The Millennial Kingdom is what the Lord refers to as my holy mountain. The lifting up of Jerusalem, and the establishment of the Lord’s house in a mountain that fills the whole Earth, is a way that the Lord is once again going to physically be at the center of human life experience. Even so, the Millennial Kingdom is merely a picture of the glory that is to come after.
