Loyal to the Word of God

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

(2 Timothy 2:15) KJV

Speaking of George Muller (1805-1898)

He intended no assault upon brethren who hold other views, when he thus plainly stated in his journal the honest and unavoidable convictions to which he came; but he was too loyal to both the word of God and to his own conscience to withhold his views when so carefully and prayerfully arrived at through the searching of the scriptures.

– Arthur T. Pierson, George Muller of Bristol

I may be guilty of assaulting brethren who hold other views, but I certainly understand what it means to be loyal to the word of God and to my conscience. Here’s a quote from the book I’m currently reading, one which I’ve read before but return to.
