God created the Earth’s environment and our physical bodies as a way of giving each soul an opportunity to come to know the truth about God and choose for themselves whether or not they want to have fellowship with him in eternity.
Adam and Eve were created to populate the earth with their offspring, until there was a body for each soul that God had created. This is why God is longsuffering: every soul hasn’t been given a body yet.
