Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
(Hebrews 1:3) KJV
Life on Earth is sustained by energy from the sun. The sun is a ball of plasma and the plasma is a fusion of Hydrogen (H+). This isn’t the only way in which life is sustained by energy from H+.
Life on earth Exists as many different types of organisms which form a food chain. The larger more complex animals get their energy from eating either smaller animals or plants. Plants of one form or another form the bottom of the food chain, they are the energy producers, they are the way in which energy is made accessible to all other forms of life.
We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
– Matty’s Razor
The process of photosynthesis is how plants convert sunlight into carbohydrates which other organisms can use to fuel metabolism. Photosynthesis uses the Chlorophyll molecule to take the energy of a photon (sunlight) to produce H+ which is then available for use in chemical reactions.
…the energetic cost of biosynthetic work is covered by electrons of high energy level, to the extent that reduction is required (much more in autotrophs than heterotrophs), and by the hydrolysis of ATP to ADP and Pi, virtually the sole purveyor of energy, in the final analysis, for all biosynthetic assembly reactions.
– Christian DeDuve, Blueprint for a cell.
Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.
– Faith, definition
If the formation of ATP from ADP and Pi and the reduction of NAD+ and NADP+ are dependent on a supply of carbohydrate, then what is the ultimate source of carbohydrate? The answer is photosynthesis. Through the process of photosynthesis, carbohydrates are synthesized from atmospheric CO² and water. Photosynthesis is an energy-requiring process fueled by light energy. It completes the global carbon cycle – non photosynthetic organisms give off CO² through the oxidation of carbohydrates, whereas photosynthetic organisms capture CO² and reduce it to the levels of carbohydrates (CH²O).
– Horton et. al. (1993)
This highly technical sounding smokescreen, scientific sleight-of-hand, is simply telling us that all life on Earth depends on a chemical reaction which uses H+ as the fuel.
