Theoretical Evidence of the Firmament

Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

Current cosmological models of the universe appear to show that 80% of the mass of the universe is missing. There’s no physical reason why the cosmos maintains its current stable state.

Newton speculated that there was a massive body far beyond the visible stars in regard to which the stars were at rest, which is why there appears to be so little motion among them and a great deal of stability.

It is a property of rest, that bodies really at rest do rest in respect to one another. And therefore as it is possible, that in the remote regions of the fixed stars, or perhaps far beyond them, there may be some body absolutely at rest; but impossible to know, from the position of bodies to one another in our regions whether any of these do keep the same position to that remote body; it follows that absolute rest cannot be determined from the position of bodies in our regions.

Popular science (SciPop) invented black holes as a way to account for this stability. It was found however that there was such a vast amount of mass missing that there would need to be black holes evenly spaced out throughout the entire universe in order to maintain it. SciPop then invented dark matter. Dark matter can’t be detected. That might have something to do with the fact that it doesn’t exist.

Now we’re up to dark energy. This can’t be detected either, but the narrative must be preserved at all costs so peer review is perfectly happy to designate a critical flaw in its narrative as a place holder term until something better shows up.

This is all the result of the Hawking effect and the impact that this has had on the scientific method and what we loosely refer to as “scientific knowledge.” It’s not knowledge, it’s whatever sounds plausible and supports the narrative.

The Scientific Method Post Hawking

• If it’s plausible it’s possible.
• If it’s possible it happened.
• It has to have happened because we exist.
• The chances of us existing are so remotely tiny that our existence proves our hypothesis (whatever it is).

Scientific knowledge: anecdotal evidence combined with probability means it’s a reasonable assumption.
