The Multitude of Merchandise

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

(Ezekiel 28:16-19) KJV

According to Ezekiel the anointed Cherub had finely crafted garments and played musical instruments. He was stationed on the East of Eden. Remember that.

Not only that, if the anointed Cherub can’t be Satan, then who is he? We have a rabbit trail to follow. Let’s pick out some details and follow the logical breadcrumbs to see where we end up.

East of Eden

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

(Genesis 3:24) KJV

Cherubim were placed on the east of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life. There didn’t need to be a guard on the north, south and west of Eden because of the waterfalls and impassable cliffs. This was in the garden of Eden, on the mountain of God, where we are told the anointed cherub walked.

The stones of fire (Eze. 28:14) refers to the flaming sword (Gen. 3:24). The anointed cherub was one of the cherubim who were assigned to guard the way to the tree of life. Who else was on the east of Eden?

And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Interesting… And then what happened?

Let’s see now, the anointed Cherub, who was supposed to be guarding the way to the tree of life on the East of Eden, just happens to be in the vicinity of a city where they develop crafts and music.

And it just so happens that in a city on the east of Eden was Jubal, the father of all such as handle the harp and organ, and Tubalcain, an artificer in brass and iron.

Isn’t that an interesting coincidence?

That’s rather suspicious don’t you think? It would appear that the anointed Cherub abdicated his responsibilities and sold the knowledge of musical instruments and metalwork to the people in the city of Enoch. He sinned for the multitude of his merchandise. The anointed cherub wasn’t Satan. Satan’s in enough trouble as it is.
