Till Iniquity was Found

You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

“You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

(Ezekiel 28:13-15) NKJV

We’re told that the anointed cherub was in Eden the garden of God. He was upon the holy mountain of God and walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire until iniquity was found in him.

Iniquity is sin. This means that the anointed cherub was on the Earth while he was still sinless. The stones of fire are elsewhere referred to as a flaming sword which was placed on the East of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life after Adam and Eve sinned.

He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.

(Genesis 3:24) ESV

Satan led a rebellion in heaven. He sinned before he was cast down to Earth. Therefore Satan couldn’t have walked in the garden of Eden before he sinned.

And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

(Luke 10:18) ESV
