The Midst of Sheol
The mighty chiefs shall speak of them, with their helpers, out of the midst of Sheol: ‘They have come down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’
(Ezekiel 32:21) ESV
Sheol is the Hebrew word which was translated hell. Newer translations don’t translate it, they leave it as it is acknowledging that no one in their right mind today believes that hell is at the center of the Earth.
No one, that is, except for us (that’s me and the Holy Spirit). One of the reasons why people don’t believe in hell is because of the use of gravitational methods to determine the Earth’s mass and average density. We developed a new theory of gravity.

Another reason why people don’t believe in hell is because of seismological data, but this is rather ironic because the data makes it perfectly clear that hell is at the center of the Earth. A lot has been said, mostly fictional, about the levels of hell. As it turns out there really are levels to hell and they’re functionally synonymous with the regions of the interior of the earth which we can derive from seismological data.

People don’t want there to be a hell. One of the goals of popular science (SciPop) is to rationalize all of the reasons why there’s no hell so you won’t have to worry yourself silly at night, you’ll just wake up there one day because you didn’t take it seriously. The word of God tells us that hell is below us. Who do you believe? God or SciPop?
