Evolution isn’t the Origin of Humanity
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.
(Romans 5:12) NKJV
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
(1 Corinthians 15:21-22) KJV
Abiogenesis took place over the six days of creation, it produced fully formed Homo sapiens. Evolution is the process of genetic decay which began in Genesis 3 at the fall of man.
If you’ve been paying attention you may remember that Axiom V is: current biodiversity is the result of evolution. Notice the word current. The current distribution of biodiversity is the result of evolution. This is a self-evident truth which is why it’s an axiom.
The state of our current biodiversity has no bearing on the origin of said biodiversity. We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) have made a distinction between two separate processes: creation and evolution (decay). Popular science (SciPop) has very helpfully emulated this by designating them as abiogenesis and evolution. This distinction is as accurate as we need to be able to account for both the physical evidence and the testimony of scripture.
- Abiogenesis (creation) took place over six days,
- it produced fully formed kind of plants and animals including Homo sapiens.
- Evolution is entropic decay,
- it began in Genesis 3 at the fall of man.
How we as Christians teach evolution is a colossal failure. We need to have a firm grasp of the relationship between cause and effect and then we can understand why evolution isn’t the problem that Christian theologians have made it. Evolution is the passage of heritable traits from one generation to the next such that successive generations may adapt to a changing environment. Genetic change over time requires death. Here’s the thing: there was no death before sin, therefore evolution couldn’t have started before Genesis 3:16. It’s so simple.
However, simple can be both right or wrong, depending on your state of mind. The relationship between cause and effect is at the heart of a syndrome that the Bible refers to as a reprobate mind.
