The Arctic is on fire: Siberian heat wave alarms scientists

Anytime it feels normal or unseasonably cool in the temperate zones we have to wonder: if global warming is real, where is all the heat?

We’re having a very normal and pleasant spring/early summer in the Southeastern US. That’s not the story in the Arctic.

The ice is gone so there’s nothing to ameliorate the effect of the expansion of hell on climate.

A Tree is Known by its Fruit

To have good fruit you must have a healthy tree; if you have a poor tree, you will have bad fruit. A tree is known by the kind of fruit it bears.

(Matthew 12:33) Good News Translation

If a tree is known by its fruit then avoid trees with bad fruit. Stay away from people if you know they’re going to swear. Don’t engage with people if you know that they’re going to emit a stream of verbal effluence.

Profane, Idle False Knowledge

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

(1 Timothy 6:20-21) NKJV

Something which is false knowledge, say mainstream science (SciPop), would otherwise be called a lie. Lying is part of a list of behaviors which are a syndrome which includes swearing.

Their Strength isn’t Right

For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

(Jeremiah 23:10) KJV

Swearing isn’t an intelligent thing to do. It’s something that intelligent people who’ve rejected God do. They’ve rejected the truth that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again, so that we may have everlasting life.

Words are Spirit

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

(John 6:63) KJV

If words are spirits, then, unfortunately, swear words are evil spirits. With that in mind, you may have seen articles going around with headlines that sound like this one:

Swearing is Actually a Sign of More Intelligence, Not Less

– Something that scientists Say

The Foolishness of Preaching

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

(1 Corinthians 1:21) KJV

Preaching may seem like foolishness but the beauty of it, and the grace of God, is that if you believe the message preached: the virgin birth, sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, then you’ll receive the gift of salvation and have everlasting life.

You Have the Words of Eternal Life

Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

(John 6:67-69) NKJV

Many people drifted away from Jesus when he started talking about things that they really had to think hard about. When they realized that they weren’t going to get a free lunch they quickly deserted him.

Eat My Flesh and Drink My Blood

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

(John 6:53-58) NKJV

Jesus is undeterred, at this point all the hard work is done. What needed to be said has been said. He summarizes again. Jesus is speaking plainly about the transformation of energy, not cannibalism.

  • IF eating Jesus’ flesh and drinking his blood, E, gives eternal life, q,
    • AND believing in Jesus Christ the Word of God, B, gives eternal life, q,
  • THEN eating and drinking (E) and believing (B) are the same thing.
