Once or Twice Offered?

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

(Hebrews 9:28) KJV

If Christ became sin for us when God said “let light be” and the lamb was slain from the foundation of the world, but then Christ died on the cross at Calvary, was he offered once, or twice?

Propitiation

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

(1 John 4:10) ESV

Propitiation is the price paid for our redemption. This was Jesus himself. He lived a sinless life and his sacrifice was sufficient to pay for the sins of the whole world.
