Abiogenesis not Evolution

lightening storm over a primeval ocean

God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased. Evening passed and morning came—that was the sixth day.

(Genesis 1:31) Good News Translation

The first day of creation included development of cellular and multicellular life which was capable of photosynthesis. This may seem far-fetched but it’s in harmony with scientific theories of the origin of life.

Elisha

So they went on, and fifty of the prophets followed them to the Jordan. Elijah and Elisha stopped by the river, and the fifty prophets stood a short distance away. Then Elijah took off his cloak, rolled it up, and struck the water with it; the water divided, and he and Elisha crossed to the other side on dry ground.

(2 Kings 2:6b-8) Good news Translation

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) aren’t the first person to conclude that water is a physical substance which allows God to manifest his glory. Elisha understood it too.

A Copy and a Shadow

Every high priest is appointed to present offerings and animal sacrifices to God, and so our High Priest must also have something to offer. If he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer the gifts required by the Jewish Law. The work they do as priests is really only a copy and a shadow of what is in heaven. It is the same as it was with Moses. When he was about to build the Sacred Tent, God told him, “Be sure to make everything according to the pattern you were shown on the mountain.”

(Hebrews 8:3-5) Good News Translation

Hydrogen atoms (H+) are necessary for nucleosynthesis, but also for life. If we said that all metabolism is based on a process that produces a supply of H+ it wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

Chlorophyll

Your mother was like a grapevine
planted near a stream.
Because there was plenty of water,
the vine was covered with leaves and fruit.

(Ezekiel 19:10) Good news Translation

Chlorophyll captures the energy from sunlight in a process called photosynthesis and produces Hydrogen (H+). It’s a picture of the command that God gave to begin the process of forming organic life: let light be.

Membranes

And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards, And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

(Leviticus 3:3-4) KJV

Membranes allow the rapid development of complexity. They form cellular and subcellular structures that carry out metabolic functions allowing biological life to develop, grow and reproduce.
