The Improbability of the Origin of Species by Evolution

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

(Genesis 1:11-12) NKJV

There’s a major glitch in THE NARRATIVE of evolution that you may not be aware of: did the four habits herb, vine, shrub and tree evolve before or after the differentiation of flower structure?

Occam’s Razor

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

(Matthew 7:13-14) NKJV

Occam’s Razor is a problem-solving principle attributed to William of Ockham (c. 1287–1347), who was an English Franciscan friar and scholastic philosopher and theologian. The principle can be interpreted as stating:

Devolution not Evolution

This is what he says in all his letters when he writes on the subject. There are some difficult things in his letters which ignorant and unstable people explain falsely, as they do with other passages of the Scriptures. So they bring on their own destruction.

(2 Peter 3:16) Good News Translation

Evolution is Biblical. We’ll lay out some logic for evangelical Christians so that they can avoid having heart attacks because we’re telling you that evolution is Biblical.

Occam’s Delusion

the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy thumbe up

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

(Isaiah 29:14) KJV

We’ve demonstrated that Occam’s razor is a philosophical train wreck by comparing the assumptions necessary in heliocentric vs. geocentrospheric cosmologies and through the improbability of the origin of species by evolution.

Devolution

But you do not live as your human nature tells you to; instead, you live as the Spirit tells you to—if, in fact, God’s Spirit lives in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ lives in you, the Spirit is life for you because you have been put right with God, even though your bodies are going to die because of sin. If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of his Spirit in you.

(Romans 8:9-11) Good News Translation

Christians have been making fools of themselves, tilting at windmills and bringing Christianity into ill repute on social media, but the extensively documented process of genetic change over time that we call evolution has a Biblical context.

The Theory of Evolution

They say they are wise, but they are fools; 23 instead of worshiping the immortal God, they worship images made to look like mortals or birds or animals or reptiles.

(Romans 1:22-23) Good News Translation

Evolution, naturally, goes back to Sir Charles Darwin and his infamous book: On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.

Evolution Needs a New Name: Devolution

For the message about Christ’s death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God’s power. The scripture says,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and set aside the understanding of the scholars.”

So then, where does that leave the wise? or the scholars? or the skillful debaters of this world? God has shown that this world’s wisdom is foolishness!

(1 Corinthians 1:18-20) Good News Translation

There were two horses on Noah’s ark but now there are at least seven species in genus Equus. That’s speciation or macro-evolution. It’s not a problem because the process of evolution has a scriptural context.
