Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey… Stuff

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

(2 Peter 3:8) KJV

People, even Christians, commonly claim is that the Bible isn’t scientific. One reason being that it doesn’t make any predictions which can be tested. We’ll show you that the Bible is predictive, testable and therefore scientific.

The Shadow of the Sundial

Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.” So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down.

(Isaiah 38:8) NKJV

Jerusalem was besieged by the Assyrian army and King Hezekiah was so sick that he nearly died. Then the sun went backwards.

The Sun and Moon Stood Still

Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

(Joshua 10:12-14) KJV

Joshua was going so hard that he ordered the sun to stay still until he had killed everybody. That’s faith: when you know the power of God and trust in it so completely that of course you have access to it, why wouldn’t you?

Synonymy

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

(Matthew 24:29) KJV

The third axiom of popular science (SciPop) is stars are distant suns and galaxies. It’s part of Galileo’s Bluff, wishful thinking, an inductive rationalization of the premise that stars are distant suns and galaxies.

Heliocentricity

For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

(Romans 8:24-25) NKJV

The second axiom of popular science (SciPop) is Earth orbits the sun. It’s embodied in Copernicus’ 7 assumptions. It’s wishful thinking, just instructions how to imagine the universe from a frame of reference other than the Earth.

The Success or Failure of Popular Science?

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) New King James Version

If you could get everyone, the whole world, to believe something which isn’t true would that be success or failure? If your goal is to delude everyone then it’s success. If your goal was to educate people so that they can evaluate facts and evidence and then deduce a logically certain conclusion, then it’s failure.

The Nobel Prize for Failing to Detect Dark Matter

Science Headline: Dark Matter Particles Must Be Smaller Than We Thought

This is because, [Brown] explained, since they cannot differentiate between dark matter signals and background signals, “if we had seen a dark matter signal we could have measured its size, but because we couldn’t see it, we can only say it has to be smaller than “this amount,” Brown said. He gave the example that, if there were two signals detected, they would be attributed to the two background events predicted. But because there were no events detected, background or dark matter, the dark matter “particles” must be smaller than they’d anticipated.

By Chelsea Gohd June 01, 2018

It is clear that something unseen is providing the gravitational interaction which maintains the universe in its current stable state. That’s evidence. It is not evidence of dark matter, it is simply evidence of something.

Flat Earth isn’t Biblical

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

(Colossians 2:8) KJV

Any Biblically accurate model of Earth must have a spherical Earth is at the center of a spherical cosmos, and the cosmos is enclosed within a rigid sphere of layered crystal called the firmament.

Out of Course?

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

(Psalms 82:2-5) KJV

Mainstream science (SciPop) requires you to believe that the Earth orbits the sun and the sun is traveling through space. The Psalmist is warning us that those who want you to believe this are wicked oppressors.

Theory is the Scientific Word for Faith

It is by faith that we understand that the universe was created by God’s word, so that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.

(Hebrews 11:3) Good News Translation

The words faith and theory are synonyms. Sight and empirical are also synonyms. Empirical evidence is what we see. What we choose to believe about it is our faith.
