Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed,saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
(Psalms 2:1-3) NKJV
Part of the meaning of the word foundation in the phrase “the foundation of the world,” is an assembly sitting together, as it were the kings of the Earth taking counsel together.
God decided to create a multitude of souls, billions and billions of them (1 Sagan). We’ve defined the soul as follows:
A soul is a gravity node with a frequency unique to each individual, it encompasses the scriptural concepts of mind and heart:
– Soul, definition
– mind: the seat of our consciousness and personality;
– heart: the emotions and passion which drive and motivate us.
Our soul makes us sentient.
We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
– Matty’s Razor
The soul encompasses our mind and heart. These souls were nascent minds which had the potential to exist as sentient beings, but they had no way of realizing their potential. God created the universe in order to allow each of these souls to have the opportunity to reach their potential. With this in mind it would be helpful for us to get answers to two questions:
- Why did God decide to create billions of souls?
- For his good pleasure.
- When did God create these souls?
- At the the foundation of the world.
God, as all three of his aspects, must have contemplated what to do with these souls: keep them all forever or dispose of them? Somehow the idea was born that the souls could be given life with free will and they could choose for themselves if they wanted to spend eternity with God or not.
God is Holy and pure, he’s without sin. A world in which free will is possible must allow for sin so that people can act according to free will. How could a Holy God create a world in which free will was possible? By creating a physical system which was inherently corrupt. This was the most difficult decision ever made. It required slaying the lamb at the foundation of the world.
