April 5

Vanity of Vanities

The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity. What does man gain by all the toil
at which he toils under the sun?

(Ecclesiastes 1:1-3) ESV

Principia Mattymatica is a couple of things. It’s a parody of Newton’s Principia Mathematica where we lay out the scriptural basis of a unified theory of everything: first cause, time, gravitation, electromagnetism, consciousness and redemption.

It’s also a blogging website which, among other things, mirrors the content of Matty’s Paradigm in a somewhat simplified form.

A funny thing happened during the most recent update of WordPress which caused us to shift focus from Matty’s Paradigm to Principia Mattymatica. The former site is self-hosted, which is to say that we rent server space from Bluehost and we installed WordPress on it. The latter is a WordPress site, but paid for not free which is why we can call it mattymatica.com and don’t have a URL like mattymatica.wordpress.com. The WordPress update rendered the back end editor at mattysparadigm.org effectively unusable, while mattymatica.com works fine.

In the old days we would have wasted hours being snarky and mean to some hapless customer service reps at Bluehost and WordPress but in our current incarnation we’re content to take it as divine providence. As far as we’re concerned the work at mattysparadigm.org is complete and we have an opportunity to hone and refine it at mattymatica.com. The added bonus being that if anything happens to us and we stop paying the bills mattysparadigm.org will be cancelled and removed from the internet, but mattymatica.com can continue for as long as there’s a WordPress.

If you’ve ever written anything, kept it, and then looked at it again years later you may have winced, cringed or had other emotions that relate to how our frame of reference changes over time. Sometimes we write out of the anguish in our heart and then years later when the wounds have healed, don’t feel the need to express those thoughts and emotions the way that we did before. It’s a bit like that today. April 5 at mattysparadigm.org is about defending the Geocentrospheric model against hoards of atheist science trolls (ASTs) on Twitter. That’s so 5 years ago.

Today we’ll tie up a couple of loose ends that fell out yesterday, from our first look at Galileo’s bluff. We’ll finish up by looking at the profound implications this has for the fulfillment of prophecy and the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom.
