Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
(Deuteronomy 5:8) KJV
The deep, of Genesis 1:2 became the great deep, the deeps and the depths of the created world. They’re all translated from the same Hebrew word, tehom. The deep became creation. The word became flesh.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
(Proverbs 8:24) KJV
The great deep is a feature of the internal structure of the earth, located in the mantle, which is why we are picking our way through this today in March. However, our featured passage speaks of a time when there were no depths. There was a time before the deep existed.
There’s a difference in usage between the English phrases the deep, (Genesis 1:2) and the depths (Proverbs 8:24) vs. the great deep (Genesis 7:11) which is contextual rather than based on nuance of translation. The phrase the deep is used to describe the body of water which was present in the beginning, when God said let there be light. The phrase the great deep, for instance, contextually is this water starting at the end of the 3rd day when it’s drained through the mantle into the great gulf as the earth was spread out over the waters.
To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
“When there were no depths,” can only refer to Genesis 1:1, because the first mention of the deep, “tehom,” is Genesis 1:2. The Bible uses “tehom,” to refer to the body of water from which the universe was made.

Thought for the Day
If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.
(1 Samuel 2:8) KJV
If there are remnants of “the pillars of the earth,” today then we have an important clue that allows us to calculate the original radius of the Earth as it was on the 3rd day of creation: approximately 7,653 km.
Predictive Testable Hypothesis 8
IF geological features such as
Monument Valley, Utah;
Devil’s Tower, Wyoming;
Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; and
Saint Michael’s Mount, UK, are remnants of the pillars of the earth,
THEN we have the approximate radius of the inner surface of the earth’s mantle on the 3rd day,
AND a way to calculate the original radius of the earth,
THEREFORE these geological features will be finely bedded metamorphic structures, not igneous intrusions.

SciPop is getting up to speed on the idea that there’s a sphere of rigid crystal on the edge of space: the firmament.
The few thousand galaxies closest to us move in a vast ‘bubble’ that is 250 million light years in diameter, where the average density of matter is half as large as for the rest of the universe. This is the hypothesis put forward by a theoretical physicist to solve a conundrum that has been splitting the scientific community for a decade: at what speed is the universe expanding?
They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.
(Job 17:16) KJV
We’re considering Biblical synonyms of “the pillars of the earth,” part of Earth’s internal structure. They’re in the great chasm, or gulf, the region which popular science (SciPop) arbitrarily designates as the liquid outer core.
Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword: Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
(Ezekiel 32:22-23) KJV
If you’re on a downward course and leave the lower mantle, once you enter the great gulf, there’s nothing to stop your fall into the core. This means that the pit refers to everything below the mantle.
Predictive Testable Hypothesis 28
IF the grave refers to the region of the earth’s mantle,
AND the pit refers to the molten core,
THEN you may be brought up from the grave, but not the pit.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) KJV
The pre-tribulation rapture is pastoral fudge. Christians and the Church will be on the earth during six of the seven plagues that are part of the tribulation.
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(1 Corinthians 15:52) KJV
The Last Trump is After the First Six
…at the last trump (1 Corinthians 15:52). There will be seven trumpets. This means that the rapture will take place after six of the seven trumpets have sounded. Here’s a quick summary of what happens as the first six trumpets are sounded:
Tribulation 0.86 The First Six Trumpets
The surface of the earth is devastated by burning hail,
humans and livestock are affected by burning sores in the skin,
the continents move together to form a contiguous landmass.
The first of three extraterrestrial impacts pollutes the sea,
everything in the oceans dies.
A second extraterrestrial impact poisons all fresh water,
the rivers, streams and lakes turn to blood.
The sun emits solar flares and burns off most of its remaining fuel,
it briefly flares 7 times brighter then weakens to a dim glow.
A third extraterrestrial impact ruptures the crust and mantle all around the periphery of the super-continent which has formed,
a swarm of horse-sized armor-plated locusts with scorpion tails come out of the depths of the earth,
smoke bellows out from the crack in the earth and darkens the sky,
the scorpions torment the people for 5 months.
All the armies of the earth assemble for the battle of Armageddon.
Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
(Psalms 18:15) ESV
It’s very important to understand nuance. It’s what we may call having discernment. Two similar phrases my mean different things because they have different tense or depending on if they are singular or plural.
The foundation of the world, for instance, when it’s singular and translated from Greek refers to the act of conception by which God the son was begotten. This explains the context of the phrase slain from the foundation of the world.
The foundation(s) of the world, in contrast, when it’s plural and translated from Hebrew refers to the crust and mantle of planet Earth.
There’s a clear difference between the Hebrew erets (earth), and tebel (world). In the passage from Psalms above The foundations of the world (tebel) refers to the crust and mantle which were exposed as the ocean floor.
And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
(2 Samuel 22:16) KJV
The passage from the Psalms is a restatement of this verse from 2 Samuel. It’s an excerpt from a prayer that King David prayed after surviving a series of battles with his enemies. He was giving thanks to God for protection and deliverance. The prayer refers to miraculous acts of God which were taught as part of the history of the children of Israel. It’s a reference to parting the Red Sea when the Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt.
This being the case, then the foundations of the world (tebel) was the exposed ocean floor that the children of Israel walked across to escape the Egyptian army. The foundation of the earth (erets) in our model is the core not the mantle. It’s below the lower mantle and separated from it by the great gulf.

Computer model of ocean floor depth (bathymetry) off the eastern coast of Japan. The peaks are underwater mountains and volcanoes. The tectonic plate boundary is marked by the deep trench running through centre. It was here that a massive offshore earthquake on 11 March 2011 caused a tsunami that devastated the coast around Sendai. The sharp transition in depth increased the impact of this tsunami. This model, using the ETOPO-1 dataset, was produced by the Environmental Visualization Laboratory of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) KJV
Most mainstream evangelical or conservative Christian pastors preach something called the pre-tribulationrapture. It’s a load of dingo’s kidneys.
Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
(Jeremiah 31:37) KJV
The interior of the earth is not seen. The hope of our generation is that hell is a myth. That would mean that there’s no judgement for sin and we can live immoral lives without fearing any consequences.
Unfortunately the very same data that SciPop uses as evidence that there’s no hell may be used as evidence for hell. That’s how evidence works: it’s evidence of whatever you choose to believe about it. This is known as Matty’s Razor.
We all have exactly the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we believe it’s evidence of.
– Matty’s Razor
Jeremiah’s Logic
IF God will cast off the seed of Israel,
If heaven above can be measured,
the foundations of the earth can be searched out beneath,
BUT God doesn’t cast off the seed of Israel,
THEN:
heaven above can’t be measured,
the foundations of the earth can’t be searched out beneath,
