Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

(Jeremiah 25:32) KJV

Brachiopods aren’t an evolutionary dead-end which got wiped out in a mass extinction. Well, there was a mass extinction, but it didn’t wipe out the Brachiopods.

Scorpions and Millipedes, first Air-breathing Animals

Repay them, O Lord, According to the work of their hands. Give them a veiled heart; Your curse be upon them! In Your anger, Pursue and destroy them From under the heavens of the Lord.

(Lamentations 3:64-66) NKJV

Graptiloids, Nautiloids, Cystoids in Maximum Abundance

So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. (Genesis 1:21-22) NKJV

If a sedimentary rock is full of the remains of Graptiloids does it means that the Graptiloids were in their maximum abundance? No, it means that the place where the Graptiloids lived got buried in sediment.

First Vertebrates and a Great Variety of Marine Invertebrates

Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”

(Genesis 1:20 NKJV

In Noah’s flood the sea floor was buried first, that’s called the Cambrian. The things which were swimming just above the sea floor got buried next, that’s called the Ordovician.
