The Reptile-Mammal Transition

Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?

(Jeremiah 9:12) KJV

The reptile-mammal transition is abiogenesis not evolution. It’s evidence that God created in a systematic manner of increasing complexity.

The Mainstream Science Narrative of godless Existence

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledgeโ€”by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

(1 Timothy 6:20-21) NKJV

For centuries the scientific mainstream has been building a narrative of godless existence (SciPop). The purpose of SciPop is to account for human existence in a way that requires no supernatural cause.

The Induced Axioms of Mainstream Science

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) NKJV

Yesterday we looked at definitions of axioms, corollaries and principles. We’ve diagnosed the five inherent flaws in the theoretical foundation of popular science (SciPop), its supposed axioms. They are:

Thou Shalt Keep Them

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

(Psalms 12:6-7) KJV

We began to search out Bible passages that would substantiate the link between God can’t lie and the Bible is true. Before we knew it we were reaching for our copy of Thou Shalt Keep Them.

The Parable of the Sower

โ€œListen, then, and learn what the parable of the sower means. Those who hear the message about the Kingdom but do not understand it are like the seeds that fell along the path. The Evil One comes and snatches away what was sown in them. The seeds that fell on rocky ground stand for those who receive the message gladly as soon as they hear it. But it does not sink deep into them, and they don’t last long. So when trouble or persecution comes because of the message, they give up at once. The seeds that fell among thorn bushes stand for those who hear the message; but the worries about this life and the love for riches choke the message, and they don’t bear fruit. And the seeds sown in the good soil stand for those who hear the message and understand it: they bear fruit, some as much as one hundred, others sixty, and others thirty.โ€

(Matthew 13:18-23) Good News Translation

The parable of the sower used to be a source of waking dread for us (that’s me and the Holy spirit). It’s not the parable itself that scares us, it’s how Jesus explained the parable.

Whom Thou Choosest

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

(Psalms 65:4) KJV

Sometimes we just need to gather up our thoughts. We can ponder things in such a way that we see a theme, and then we develop the theme by picking through some scripture. The word chosen occurs in a couple of Jesus’ parables.

The Donkeyโ€™s Jawbone

a jawbone

And he found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, and put out his hand and took it, and with it he struck 1,000 men. And Samson said,

โ€œWith the jawbone of a donkey,
heaps upon heaps,
with the jawbone of a donkey
have I struck down a thousand men.โ€

(Judges 15:15-16) ESV

The universe is both young and ancient simultaneously due to a phenomenon called gravitational time dilation (GTD). 2 Peter 3:8 is a mathematically accurate equation for GTD. We call it the Donkey’s Jawbone.

Church Custodian

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

(Psalms 84:10) NKJV

In September 1999, thinking that we were called to full-time Christian service we took a job as custodian of a large Presbyterian church. It was very disappointing as we met more and more people who knew nothing about the Bible, just how to play church.
