They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

Consider this for instance. If this passage from Judges is to be believed, and why wouldn’t we believe it since it’s in the Bible, the stars fought against Sisera. The stars really can’t do that if they’re distant suns and galaxies.

Geostationary Satellites

Spy satellites travel at a velocity high enough that they’re in free fall. They’re constantly falling towards the Earth but at the same rate that the curvature of the Earth is moving away from them.

Sun and Moon

The Millennial Kingdom will have a sun and moon, although the sun will be a dim glimmer compared to what it is now. The majority of the light in the Millennial Kingdom will be the glory of the Lord who now inhabits Jerusalem. Here Isaiah is speaking about the Millennial Kingdom.

Helical Helios

The sun orbits the Earth in a helical spiral. The sun is called Helios in Greek. Either the sun is called Helios because it has a helical orbit, or helices are called helices because they mimic the motion of the sun – Helios.

When we change our assumption from Heliocentric to Geocentrospheric it has an effect on the distance to stellar objects. This is because of the way that stellar parallax works.
