We all have the same evidence

Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, ‘We see,’ your guilt remains.

An example of evidence is the worldwide distribution of sedimentary rock. In geology it’s called the stratigraphic column. We could euphemistically call it a scientific fact, although the word fact is sufficient by itself.

Faith vs. Sight

while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
(2 Corinthians 4:18) NKJV

Faith and sight are opposites, like light and darkness, good and evil. When you have one you don’t need the other, and vice versa. We also use them as concepts in a unified theory of everything.

Salvation

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(Romans 10:9-10) KJV

Principia Mattymatica is complicated but don’t worry, it’s not necessary for salvation. There isn’t a quiz or exam. Whatever you believe about the Bible and science doesn’t have any influence over your salvation.

Math in the Bath

When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
(Proverbs 8:27) KJV

Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
(2 Chronicles 4:2) KJV

Proverbs 8:27 is an example of the use of the word compass to describe a circumference. With the information in 2 Chronicles 4:2 we may derive a value for the volume of a bath, so long as we know what a cubit is.

Welcome to a world where God and the Bible make sense. Creation has a purpose. It exists for a reason. This provides a broad narrative in which God has provided Himself with eternal companions who, by free will, choose to be there.

We (that’s me and the Holy Spirit) recently had a Twitter exchange with someone who resented God for their very existence. We got nowhere trying to encourage them to be thankful.
