Millstone Alert!

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

(Luke 17:1-2)

I need to make a short departure from the normal progression through the creative work of the sixth day to address something that, at first, I was quite excited about, but then found out that it wasn’t what I was expecting. Someone helpfully let me know that a YouTube video had been posted which, in their words:

Ha, you just got destroyed on YouTube by Martymer 81. Congratulations.

Glorious Liberty

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

(Romans 8:18-21) KJV

Matty’s Paradigm isn’t what you have to believe to be a Christian, it’s what CAN be believed in the name of Jesus Christ which is in perfect harmony with both the Word of God and science.

Clothed With The Sun

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

(Revelation 12:1-6) KJV

The Bible must account for everything we see around us today: in the heavens above and in the earth below. Otherwise God’s lying. Since God can’t lie we use deduction to show how the pieces fit together.

We Love Our Trolls

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

(2 Corinthians 12:10) KJV

We love Twitter Trolls. They’re the unwitting accomplices to our evangelistic ministry.

They think they’re achieving a high entertainment factor by showing the world what an idiot we are, but we’re not an idiot and hell is expanding.

Does God Lie in the Bible? Part 3

Does God Lie In The Bible? Part 3

Matthew 21:21

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Continuing on from the discussion started on March 28th we are looking at supposed examples of God lying.

13.

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. (John 7:8-10)

John 7:8-10, is only a lie if you omit the word “yet,” from the translation. Many modern Bible translation do indeed omit this word. This is not an example of God lying, but it is a perfect example of why you should be studying the King James Version, and not a version of the Bible which has been based on the use of corrupted texts.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44)

God is not lying in this passage, Jesus is making it very clear that the father of all lies is Satan. Attempting to make the case that this is an example of God lying is saying that Jesus is falsely accusing Satan of lying, but since, technically, Satan would have to be real in order for this to matter then the atheist has once again chosen to believe that the Bible is authoritative in order to make the claim. Why would an atheist accept the Bible as authoritative? This is a level of confusion that the reprobate mind will sink to that is basically depravity. Anything goes, even citing the Bible as authoritative in order to say that the Bible is false.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (John 14:11-14)

John 14:11-14, is not an example of God lying, it is a quote of Jesus explaining the Spiritual and physical relationship he has with God the Father. God the Father is an eternal mind who conceived all things; God the Spirit is the Holy Spirit, his mode of action in the world; God the Son is the physical manifestation of God, the Word of God, the Word made flesh, the lamb slain from the beginning of the world, the one through whom all things were made, the deep, who was with God in the beginning. God is in Jesus because God made the world by Him. Jesus is in God because the world was made from Him. This is literally true as it pertains to the physical makeup of the universe.

We can have the power that Jesus manifested on earth when we are perfectly aligned with God’s will. This passage is not to be taken that I may ask God for a new Mercedes and the fact that I don’t have a new Mercedes means that God is a liar. I don’t need a Mercedes in order for me to do the work that God has assigned for me on earth. On the other hand, if I go to God to ask how to reconcile Kepler’s Laws of Planetary Motion with what the Bible teaches us about the solar system he shows me, through the Holy Spirit. There is another passage like this which is very specific:

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  (Matthew 17:20)

Why don’t we see mountains moving around? Is God a liar?

The key to understanding this is the phrase: “If ye have faith.” Faith in what? Faith that God will do whatever I want? Or is it faith that God is going to do whatever HE wants? If we have faith that God’s will is going to be done, and because of our diligent study of His Word it is possible to deduce what that will is, then we come into alignment with His will such that, as he is carrying it out anyway, we are aware of it unfolding. We may also be so attuned to it such that we may anticipate it. As such, if we ask for it, we will see it come to pass.

One practical example is that God has promised to provide my every need. I had to get my car inspected but I couldn’t afford any repairs. I am in God’s will right now and the car passed the inspection without needing any repairs. As I was praying to God and asking for Him to provide for the car to pass the inspection, I deduced and concluded that no repairs would be necessary because I didn’t have any money to pay for them. When I got the call from the shop to tell me to come pick the car up I wasn’t surprised.

God’s will doesn’t require any mountains to be moved right now, therefore it is not possible for anyone to be aligned with His will such that they may move a mountain. However, if I am convinced that the Bible is true because God said it is, and Psalms 19 tells us that the sun is orbiting the earth, then I go to God to ask for the understanding of it. I need the sun to be less massive than the earth in order for Psalms 19 to be possible, to be literally true. The Holy Spirit teaches me how to use Kepler’s laws and Newton’s law of gravity to show that the sun is indeed less massive than the earth. The sun is a lot larger than a mountain (even if it is smaller than the earth). I just moved the sun from the center of the solar system to being in orbit around the earth. As far as I am concerned this passage is literally true because I just moved more than a mountain. I was able to do this because the need to do it is in alignment with God’s will, and I asked for it.

14.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Thessalonians 2:11)

Well, well, well, what have we here. Is this not the statement from God that the world will be led astray by popular science? Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin? This is the reason for my sense of urgency in wanting to write Matty’s Paradigm. The delusion has many components which have been brought together over the course of hundreds of years. A book that was very helpful to me years ago is “Evolution: The Lie,” by Ken Hamm, but this is actually just a small part of the delusion. The delusion is what I refer to as the dominant paradigm of modern science. As a theoretical foundation for the prevailing narrative of godless existence I have identified 5 critical pillars of the rationale:

  1. The assumed causal relationship between mass and gravity
  2. Heliocentricity
  3. The belief that stars are distant suns and galaxies
  4. The radioisotope decay constant
  5. The evolutionary origin of humanity

None of these key theoretical building blocks can be proven, they are all leaps of faith. How is God lying if he is telling the truth about the lie that people will want to believe so that they can deny God?

If this were to be a nice neat 3-point sermon the points would be:

  1. Accusation
  2. Argument
  3. Actuality

We have discussed the accusation: God lies. We have had the argument: we have discussed every one of the supposed lies and found them to be false accusations. The actuality is that, in order to make this argument the accuser has become a hypocrite. If an atheist believes that there is no God and that the Bible is a book of fables, yet wants to accuse God of lying in the Bible, there are three problems with the logic here:

  1. Why is the Bible suddenly authoritative now that you want to use it to accuse God?
  2. If God doesn’t exist why are you accusing him of lying?
  3. If the Bible isn’t true then God didn’t lie.

Atheism is not intellectually viable.

Does God Lie in the Bible? Part 1

Does God Lie in the Bible? Part 1

Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

The premise on which Matty’s Paradigm is based is “God cannot lie,” (Titus 1:2). I have used this premise from which to deduce how the physical evidence of “science,” can be accounted for by the record we have in the Bible of the earth’s origin, history and future. The reasoning is simple:

  • IF God cannot lie
  • AND he states that the Bible is His Word
  • THEN the Bible is true.

This also gives us the reason why we have to investigate “science,” to find out why the story it tells of our origin is so different from that we find in the Bible:

  • IF the Bible is true
  • AND science has a rationalization of our existence which is different to the Bible
  • THEN science is wrong.

I have made significant progress with this approach and I believe that I have resolved some major issues, including the nature of gravity and planetary orbits, which allow a harmonization of the Bible with empirical observations. It is quite natural, then, for there to be an attack on my starting premise: God cannot lie. The following list, provided by @religulous of the Twitter community, is supposedly a list of Bible passages in which God lies.

  1. Genesis 2:17, 3:4
  2. 1 Kings 22:6, 22:19-23
  3. 2 Chronicles 18:22
  4. Job 1:21
  5. Psalm 201:7
  6. Proverbs 6:16-19
  7. Jeremiah 4:10, 20:7
  8. Ezekiel 14:9
  9. Matthew 12:40
  10. Matthew 16:28
  11. Mark 9:1
  12. Luke 9:27
  13. John 7:8-10, 8:44; 14:11-14
  14. 2 Thessalonians 2:11

We will take each of theses in turn for the next three devotionals and see if these really are examples of God lying.

1.

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:17)
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (Genesis 3:4)

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge they did not immediately drop dead. However, the consequence of the act of disobedience was God withdrawing his physical presence from the world. This caused radioactive decay to begin and the world fell into its corrupted state. Adam and Eve began to age. In biology this is called senescence. Their cells began to die and had to be be replaced through cell division (mitosis) which is prone to errors in DNA replication. Radioactive decay caused ionizing radiation which caused mutation. The mutations were copied along with everything else. Adam and Eve’s bodies began to die.

As it turns out, this is exactly what God said would happen, but we will deal with this in a separate post during June.

2.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. (1 Kings 22:6)

This is clearly an instance of false prophets lying, not God.

And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. (1 Kings 22:19-23)

This gives us the context to understand why the prophets were lying to King Ahab. This is the prophet Micaiah speaking to King Ahab of Israel and King Jehosaphat of Judah. Micaiah reveals why, when the Kings went to the false prophets they were lied to, by revealing the truth to them. In heaven God asked how the fall of Ahab would be brought about. He had a volunteer from among the spirits who said that he would go and cause the false prophets to lie to Ahab. This is an example of God being truthful, and He is also being honest and transparent about the circumstances.

3.

Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee. (2 Chronicles 18:22)

This is a recounting of the same event as in the example 2. above. It is not an example of God lying, it is an example of an atheist lying about God.

4.

And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. (Job 1:21)

This is not an example of God lying. Its occurrence in this list is an example of an atheist lying about God.

5.

There is no Psalms 201. However, in case this is a typo for Psalms 120…

I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war. (Psalms 120:7)

This is a lament of a person, such as King David, in context it is not God speaking, neither is it an example of a lie, other than being another example of an atheist lying about God.

6.

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19)

This tells us that the Lord God hates lying. It is another example of an atheist lying about God.

We’ll cover the remainder of these passages tomorrow.

Does it look to you that God lies? Today’s image is from here.

March 14th

Happy Π Day!

Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

(2 Chronicles 4:2) KJV

It’s March 14 which could be written as 3.14, the mathematical constant Π which expresses the relationship between circumference and diameter. Atheist science trolls (ASTs) dismiss the Bible because, supposedly, it has the wrong value for Π.

Effect, Cause and the Reprobate Mind

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

(Romans 1:28) KJV

The “reprobate mind” of Romans 1:28 is a consequence of rejecting the relationship between cause and effect. It manifests as a refusal to acknowledge the relationship between behavior and consequences.
