Chemistry

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

(John 1:1-2) ESV

The Holy Trinity can be written as a chemical formula. As blasphemous as this may seem, at first, there’s a major problem with it: IT WORKS as a plan for the particle physics of the universe.

Ex Nihilo vs. Ex Abyssi

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(Genesis 1:1-2) ESV

The writer of Hebrews describes the creation of the universe as thermodynamically balanced. Apparently God created the universe from things which are invisible. We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) propose atoms and molecules.

A Theory of First Cause

Stylalized ball-and-stick water molecule

See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ.

(Colossians 2:8) RSV

First cause isn’t the same as the Big Bang. The Big Bang, or more accurately we should say nucleosynthesis, is an effect, not a cause. Popular Science (SciPop) promotes speculation about a possible first cause.

A Pure River of the Water of Life

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

(Revelation 22:1-5) ESV

If we’re going to live with the Lord God who’s going to reign forever and ever, and a pure river of the water of life is flowing, then it must be cycling because God isn’t going to constantly create new water forever.

There was Never, Ever, Nothing

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

(Colossians 1:16-17) ESV

As strange as it may sound we have to overcome the ridiculous notion that God created the universe from nothing. Invisible isn’t nothing it’s unseen, like the air we breath. It’s made of atoms and molecules like everything else.

The Deep

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(Genesis 1:1-2) ESV

The deep existed in the beginning, before God began to create. This means that creation isn’t ex nihilo, from nothing, it’s ex abyssi, from the deep. This is so obvious that everyone has missed it completely.
