Cast off the Works of Darkness
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.(Romans 13:12) KJV
We’re children of light. We’ve been called to the light. A home has been prepared for us in the light. Let’s cast off the works of darkness and walk in the light.
The broad narrative of scripture and the physics of creation make it clear that light and dark are opposites which have to be separated. The permanent physical separation of light from darkness, good from evil is the purpose of creation.
The purpose of creation is to bring about the permanent physical separation of light from darkness, day from night, good from evil.– The Purpose of Creation
When all is said and done this life is our opportunity to decide whether we want to be in the light or in the darkness. The choice between light and darkness is made by accepting Jesus Christ to be our savior.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.(John 8:12) KJV
