The Life is In the Blood

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

(Leviticus 17:11) KJV

A spirit from God, literally breath, gives life to our body by energizing metabolism through the action of the hemoglobin molecule. We can deduce that blood is the seat of the spirit, not the soul.

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) tested the hypothesis that life has four states analogous to the 4 states of matter: Solid (body), liquid (blood), vapor (spirit) and plasma (soul?). It didn’t work. The soul is distinct from the body, blood and spirit.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

The soul is our consciousness and personality which dwells in a body that is animated by the spirit. We’ve developed the rationale that the soul is a gravity node. There’s another thread which we can pick up which will help us make a very firm distinction between soul and spirit.

We have to go back to the discussion of the first day of creation in January. One of the things that we learned is that things on Earth are copied from things in the heavens (Hebrews 9:23). We also learned that the body of water called the deep was used as the source of Hydrogen atoms for nucleosynthesis. This gives us the pattern:

Hydrogen atoms, H+, are necessary for nucleosynthesis, but also for life. If we said that all metabolism is based on a process that produces a supply of H+ it wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

– Hydrogen, significance

God used the water molecules of the deep as the source of Hydrogen for nucleosynthesis, and then developed organic life around the process of photosynthesis and the chlorophyll molecule. Chlorophyll uses light energy to provide a supply of Hydrogen atoms that power metabolism. The Chlorophyll molecule is an elaborate ring structure which is how it fulfills its function.

Chlorophyll

Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.

– Faith, definition

This line of reasoning intersects with our investigation of how the soul and spirit interact with the blood because of the structure of hemoglobin, the molecule in red blood cells which performs the equivalent function.

Hemoglobin

The ring structure in Chlorophyll is designed to bind a Magnesium atom. In Hemoglobin the ring structure binds an Iron atom. Magnesium and Iron are chemically similar because the ions both have the same electric charge:

MoleculeIonSymbolCharge

Molecules bound in Chlorophyll and Hemoglobin

Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings. Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

(Leviticus 7:27) KJV

The life is in the blood is neither poetic language nor symbolic, it’s biologically accurate. God created light and life on the first day and created a means of sustaining organic life based on using Hydrogen atoms to power metabolic processes. Chlorophyll is how this has been patterned into plants. Hemoglobin is how this has been patterned into animals. This gives us a scientific basis for the dietary restrictions in Leviticus. The idea that the soul is a gravity node is even more attractive now, given that it is clearly not a part of the body/blood/spirit system.

Salvation

  1. Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
    • believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
  2. confess your sin.
