The Gospel is Physics

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christโ€”by grace you have been savedโ€”

(Ephesians 2:4-5) Good News Translation

Passing from death to life is referred to as being quickened, q. We’re quickened when we put our faith in Jesus Christ. It’s also called being saved, or “born again.”

The Gospel is Physics (logic)

  • IF being dead in sins (pG) is when we’re under the power of the law (M),
    • AND we receive the forgiveness of sin (A),
      • when we’re quickened (q) through faith in Jesus Christ,
  • THEN pGxq=A. (F=MA)

Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

(Hebrews 9:23) Good News Translation

This has a familiar ring to it. It could also be written as A = pG q which, by a totally staggering coincidence, is Newton’s Second Law of Motion, F = MA. Coincidence? Things on Earth are copied from things in the heavens, so why wouldn’t salvation through faith in Jesus Christ be the pattern for Newtons second law? God can do that.

In an inertial frame of reference, the vector sum of the forces F on an object is equal to the mass M of that object multiplied by the acceleration A of the object: F=MA. (It is assumed here that the mass M is constant).
