a drawing compass and the creation of gravity on the second day

The Foundations of the Earth

My hand laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand forth together.

(Isaiah 48:13) ESV

A gravitational singularity was established forever: it formed the foundation of the first heaven and Earth; it will be the foundation of the new heaven and Earth. It shall not be removed.

David and Goliath

When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.

(1 Samuel 17:48-49) ESV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) deduced that God created gravity on the second day. The implications are profound. David and Goliath is a fitting metaphor: We just killed theoretical Physics. You’re welcome.

Planet earth on the second day as concentric layers of sediment around a gravitational singularity

The Core Accretion Model

Then God commanded, “Let there be a dome to divide the water and to keep it in two separate places”—and it was done. So God made a dome, and it separated the water under it from the water above it.

(Genesis 1:7) Good News Translation

They purposely ignore the fact that long ago God gave a command, and the heavens and earth were created. The earth was formed out of water and by water,

(2 Peter 3:5) Good News Translation

SaveThe core accretion model is an example of a self-evident truth. It’s obvious that the Earth formed as sediment accumulated around the core. Now we have a theory of gravitation derived from scripture.

To Sink, Sank

Through sloth the roof sinks in, and through indolence the house leaks.

(Ecclesiastes 10:18) ESV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) connect the phrases “established the world” and “set fast the mountains” with sinking down. This is the second Hebrew word for gravity in the context of the second day of creation.

To Sink, Sink Down

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

(Job 38:4-7) ESV

The concept of sinking down occurs in the creation narrative when God laid the foundations of the earth. The meaning of this phrase is congruent with the creation of a gravitational singularity on the second day.

Deducing Gravity

And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.

(Genesis 1:7) ESV

Gravity is fundamental to the working out of God’s plan for creation. So how on earth did we manage to deduce that gravity was created on the second day? There are three steps to this logic.

  1. Formless > Formed
  2. Orientation Under and Above
  3. Compass: Focus and Circumference

a jawbone

The Donkey’s Jawbone AKA Gravitational Time Dilation

Then he found a jawbone of a donkey that had recently died. He reached down and picked it up, and killed a thousand men with it. 16So Samson sang,

“With the jawbone of a donkey I killed a thousand men;
With the jawbone of a donkey I piled them up in piles.”

(Judges 15:15-16) Good News Translation

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) deduce a theory of gravitation in which planet Earth is about 6,000 years old while the remote regions of the cosmos are at least 2.19 billion years old – simultaneously.
