Popular Science is Axiomatically Wrong

Neil Degrasse Tyson posing beside an statement with flawed logic

October 5

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

(Romans 1:19-23) KJV

The popular science paradigm (SciPop) wasn’t deduced from axioms, its axioms were induced by accepting the premise of the paradigm. SciPop axioms aren’t axiomatic.

Heliocentricity

July 28

For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

(Romans 8:24-25) NKJV

The second axiom of popular science (SciPop) is Earth orbits the sun. It’s embodied in Copernicus’ 7 assumptions. It’s wishful thinking, just instructions how to imagine the universe from a frame of reference other than the Earth.

The Role of Dark Matter

Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call to them, They stand up together.

(Isaiah 48:13) NKJV

The first axiom of popular science (SciPop) is there’s a causal relationship between space-time and gravity. It’s embodied in Newton’s law of universal gravitation. It’s wishful thinking, an opportunistic rationalization of circumstantial evidence.

Peer Review

July 27

He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.

(2 Samuel 22:10) NKJV

The popular science (SciPop) narrative of godless existence has been developed by the process of peer review, the ruler of a pantheon of deities which serve to protect the five axioms of SciPop.

Is Simple Still Best?

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

(John 8:31-32) NKJV

If we’re supposed to accept the hypothesis with the fewest assumptions, lets compare how many assumptions have been made in the popular science paradigm (SciPop) vs. Matty’s Paradigm.

Science vs. Religion?

Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me its interpretation.

(Daniel 4:7) ESV

A lot of people seem to think, because they’ve been told, that science and religion are opposites. The problem goes back to what people believe that science is, because religion, for the most part, is irrelevant.

Mainstream Science

“Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.

(Matthew 7:13-14) Good News Translation

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) have a lot to say about mainstream science (SciPop). That’s because it stands in opposition to the truth and we’ve been called to destroy its theoretical foundation.

Isolating the Error in Mainstream Science

As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.

(1 Timothy 1:3-7) ESV

Popular science (SciPop) has a theoretical foundation. We refer to it as the SciPop paradigm. You may see it referred to in places as the DPMS (the dominant paradigm of modern science).
