David and Goliath

When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.

(1 Samuel 17:48-49) ESV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) deduced that God created gravity on the second day. The implications are profound. David and Goliath is a fitting metaphor: We just killed theoretical Physics. You’re welcome.

To Sink, Sink Down

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

(Job 38:4-7) ESV

The concept of sinking down occurs in the creation narrative when God laid the foundations of the earth. The meaning of this phrase is congruent with the creation of a gravitational singularity on the second day.

Deducing Gravity

And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.

(Genesis 1:7) ESV

Gravity is fundamental to the working out of God’s plan for creation. So how on earth did we manage to deduce that gravity was created on the second day? There are three steps to this logic.

  1. Formless > Formed
  2. Orientation Under and Above
  3. Compass: Focus and Circumference

Combining Scripture With Physics

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(Genesis 1:2) ESV

There are three things in Genesis 1:2, besides the the deep, which describe the state of the universe before God said “let light be.” We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) use this to deduce that it was a zero-G environment.

Newton’s Third Law of Motion

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) ESV

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven,” from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 is a clear statement of Newton’s third law of motion, and it describes the relationship of cause and effect.

Darkness

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

(2 Corinthians 4:6) ESV

We’re discussing the very beginning of creation, Genesis 1:1-2, and we have an intriguing question: if God is light, in whom is no darkness at all, then why was there darkness upon the face of the deep?

First Cause: The deep

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(Genesis 1:2) ESV

The Holy Trinity consists of two separate individuals who conceived to beget a third. Before creation began there were two elemental particles which fused to make a third. Coincidence?

All Manner of Precious Stones

And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones.

(Revelation 21:19) KJV

And the foundations of the wall of the city were layers of crystalline material arranged in order.

(Revelation 21:19) Paraphrased

Meaning comes from context. For example the phrase “were garnished” in Revelation 21:19. One meaning could be: the wall of the city had foundations, and the foundations had been decorated with precious stones.

Physics is a Prison for your Mind.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

( Genesis 1:1-2 ) KJV

I want to free your mind.

The scientific discipline of Physics has decided that the universe began with a Big Bang. At this time the atomic nuclei were created in a process called Nucleosynthesis.

The conditions necessary for Nucleosynthesis are specified in Genesis Chapter 1. Water was present, the deep, this is the source of Hydrogen nuclei needed for Nucleosynthesis.

When God said, “Let There be Light,” he used the H+ in the deep to create all of the other atomic nuclei – the whole periodic table of elements.

Physics agrees with Genesis.
