Spread of Amphibians

Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

Amphibians were buried in a swamp. Does that mean that amphibians were spreading? No, it doesn’t, it means that amphibians lived in a swamp that got buried.

Extensive Swamps in Lowlands

It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many. But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt.

(Ezekiel 47:10-11) NKJV

Most of the sedimentary deposits assigned to the Mississippian are coal beds in the Mississippi valley. The coal is the remains of swamp habitat that was buried in a world-wide flood.

Mississippian

August 10

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

(Isaiah 5:20) KJV

If we examine the evidence we can’t avoid the obvious conclusion that Mississippian sediments are the remains of an ecosystem which was buried in a flood.

Was Mars the source of sediment for the Old Red Sandstone in Scotland and other deposits around the world? Comparing specimens from Mars and Scotland will show that they have the same provenance.

The Old Red Sandstone

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

Is there any Biblical basis to support the possibility that billions of tons of sediment could fall out of the sky? Why yes, there is. There are several passages which describe rocks falling from the skies.

Worlds in Collision

Worlds in Collision” is the title of a book by Immanuel Velikovsky in which he proposes, among other things, that the plagues of the Exodus were caused by successive close approaches to Earth by the planet Venus.
