The Holy spirit knows the difference between the soul and spirit, therefore it should be possible for us to know it too. That’s the reward we get for being diligent, and discerning nuance.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
(Hebrews 4:12) ESV
We’ve seen that there are complex doctrinal issues such as the firmament, over which much ink has been wasted but that Christianity gave up on, which can be accounted for by a physical phenomena: the creation of gravity on the second day. What if dividing between the soul and spirit may also be explained by a simple physical phenomenon?

The soul is our own unique personality which we’re aware of as consciousness. Somehow this has to exist in a body which is made out of, for want of a more technical term, mud. The mud is pretty sophisticated and it’s arranged into cells which are kept in communication with each other by a circulation system which allows metabolism to take place.
Spirit
The Spirit is a vapor, for example Oxygen, which binds with the hemoglobin molecule in red blood cells to animate a body through metabolic processes. The spirit/body entity serves as the host or tabernacle for a soul.

This is where we can see the difference between soul and spirit. Spirit is the vapor which animates our body by allowing metabolism. To be precise it’s Oxygen and it powers our bodily processes through the hemoglobin molecule.
and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
(Ecclesiastes 12:7) ESV
Our spirit doesn’t belong to us. It’s given by God who is the source of all life. That’s the first step.
Soul
A soul is a gravity node with a frequency unique to each individual, it encompasses the scriptural concepts of mind and heart:
– Soul, definition
– mind: the seat of our consciousness and personality;
– heart: the emotions and passion which drive and motivate us.
Our soul makes us sentient.
The next step is also a conclusion which has been arrived at using deductive reasoning, four separate lines to be exact. The soul is a gravity node.
